 CCS External Oversight Committee For Student Reassignment and Consolidation - Maps
With the guidance of the Columbus City Schools (CCS) Board of Education policy (3226.1), the goals of the student reassignment and consolidation process are to:
- Assign students as close to home as possible;
- Strengthen neighborhood schools through the use of K-12 vertically aligned communities;
- Maintain school choice as seats are available;
- Improve continuity of alternative programs (K-12) thus eliminating under enrolled programs and develop innovative new themed schools; and Work toward eliminating the use of modular classrooms.
This is district's first comprehensive review of the student assignment plan since 1996.
