Technology In The Classroom

Goals of the Columbus Public Schools

Reeb is a USI School

Reeb Elementary School has been wired for technology using the funds provided by SchoolNet. Our school is using IBM computers and software called School Vista. This program provides the students with an electronic writing center, reading centers that promote guided discovery and inquiry, math centers where students can practice skills, and a mail center where students can send electronic mail to each other. Reeb teachers are hard at work, meeting the district's goal of helping our students learn how to use technology for lifelong learning. Increase student academic achievement
  • Students will read at or above grade level by third grade.
  • Graduates will know how to use technology for lifelong learning.

Operate the district more efficiently and effectively.Raise hope, trust, and confidence in the Columbus Public Schools

Reeb Elementary School is proud to be part of the Urban Systemic Initiative grant for Columbus Public Schools.  Through the funds provided for by this grant, Reeb teachers have explored new resources and strategies for teaching math and science to our students.  They have been able to study new literature that incorporates reading with math and science; making an exciting learning environment for our students.  We have also had staff in-service to develop skills in teaching students how to utilize higher order thinking skills.
