A 2002 National Milken Educator of the Year Award recipient, Mr. James C. Eslinger is the new principal of Indian Springs Elementary School. He has worked in Columbus City Schools for eight years – six years as a fourth grade teacher at Alpine Elementary and the past two years as a Leadership Intern at various elementary schools. He has written district curriculum guides, and sits on the advisory board of the North Central Regional Educational Laboratory. Born and raised in southwestern Missouri, Mr. Eslinger received his bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Missouri Southern State University and his master’s degree in Educational Administration from Ashland University, Ohio. Mr. Eslinger enjoys going back to Missouri to hunt and fish on the family farm. He lives in the Arena District in downtown Columbus. sing.
