INDIAN SPRINGS MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of Indian Springs Elementary School is to help each child reach his/her fullest potential. The staff strives to create a positive, child-centered learning environment, while respecting the uniqueness of each individual and providing equitable opportunities for all children. It is our goal to foster individual responsibility and a love of lifelong learning while guiding students to successfully achieve state learning competencies. We view parents and community as essential partners in each student's educational success.

Welcome Mr. Eslinger
A 2002 National Milken Educator of the Year Award recipient, Mr. James C. Eslinger is the new principal of Indian Springs Elementary School. He has worked in Columbus City Schools for eight years – six years as a fourth grade teacher at Alpine Elementary and the past two years as a Leadership Intern at various elementary schools. He has written district curriculum guides, and sits on the advisory board of the North Central Regional Educational Laboratory. Born and raised in southwestern Missouri, Mr. Eslinger received his bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Missouri Southern State University and his master’s degree in Educational Administration from Ashland University, Ohio. Mr. Eslinger enjoys going back to Missouri to hunt and fish on the family farm. He lives in the Arena District in downtown Columbus. sing.
