News and Events
Elementary classes are working hard on reading this year at the Africentric School.
5 year olds read with Attorney Janet Jackson and Baba Embry!
Reading takes on special importance during American Education Week. Students greet guests who come to the Africentric School to read with students.

In January some fourth graders went to COSI to explore the new Gadgets learning world. These bridge engineers really enjoyed their explorations!

These students were learning about potential and kinetic energy and the combustion engine at COSI!

Fifth graders celebrate their ancestors every year and show a change in look from their uniforms!

Academic achievement is strongly emphacized and proudly celebrated at awards ceremonies for even the youngest scholars. Award programs occur at the end of every grading period, with awards for the Ma'at, Kemet, and Ashe' Honor Rolls, and the Nia awards for perfect attendance.
