ACCELERATION ACADEMY
The Acceleration Academy is an after-hours program for students who have serious attendance or academic problems. It is a safety-net program with instruction offered in small classes and wraparound services provided by guidance and support staff.

The Acceleration Academy meets on an afternoon schedule that varies slightly at different schools. The emphasis is on reading and math since these are the areas that seem to be the key to general academic success. The goal of the Acceleration Academy is to get the student back into the regular flow of classes and activities. The biggest factor for success is the attitude of the student.

Selection for the Acceleration academy depends on many factors and includes consultation with the parent(s) or guardian(s), teachers, and administrators.
