Parent Involvement
|
C.H.I.P. |
A. G. Bell has an active Parent-Teacher Association. This organization sponsors social gatherings and special programs through the year. The school has many occasions planned through the year to encourage parent involvement. They include: IEP conferences, Meet the Teacher Day, Open House, Parent Conferences days, field trips, parent programs, and planned visitations. There is a Parent Breakfast in the spring and individual classes prepare special programs throughout the school year. Parents are the heart of the school process. Frequent contacts are made between the home and school, either by visitations, telephone contacts, or written correspondence. Parents are partners in the decision making process. The CHIP staff strives to provide objective information and parents are encouraged to contribute information of their own to make decisions comfortable and positive. |
The Columbus Hearing Impaired
Program is another example of excellence in the
